"This auction is for a set of 4 vintage dining chairs. They are constructed from oak with light finish. They are reupholstered in brand new avacado colored velour fabric. They have angled legs and open back. Underneath the chair is a stamp. It looks like these chairs were made by Fernwood Manufacturing Corporation in Los Angeles. The chairs were designed by Allen Gould. Allan Gould first designed this chair for Herman Miller in 1940, and later released an alternate design through his own company. The original cushion was made from 87% hog hair, and 12% horse hair. Chairs like these were manufactured in the 1930s. Chair dimensions: 20"w x 21"d x 27.5"h. These chairs are in very good condition.
