127" x 56" Vinyl Wallcovering Knoll International 1971 Omahar Francisca Reichardt
"United States: Knoll Knoll`s commitment to medern textiles remained strong, despite several changes of ownership, and Knoll Textiles became an autonomous unit within Knoll International in 1979. International activities were spearheaded from 1973 by the German designer Barbara Rodes, and at this time bold abstract prints became an important part of Knoll`s range, particularilt in Europe. In recognition of the the firm`s popularity in Germany, Stuttgart was chosen as the base for its European operations in 1975. Four years later a European subsidiary, Knoll Textilien, was created under the direction of Peter Seipelt, an acomplished Swiss woven textile designer. In order to appeal to the varied tastes of an international market, prints were commissioned from designers in various countries, including Anni Albers, Wolf Bauer, Lynne Crosbee, Christa Häusler-Goltz, Marc Held, Alexandre Mimoglou, Francisca Reichardt, Nob and Non Utsumi, and Grelt and Leo Wollner."
