Brian Palmer Brian Palmer continues to be one of Americas most prolific furniture designers, earning a “Pinnacle” Award as recently as 2004 for exceptional new product design. Early in his career, Palmer designed extensive residential and executive office collections for Baker Furniture, of Grand Rapids. These collections are sleek and richly finished, with birdseye maple veneers over maple solids. The polished nickel carried throughout is particularly attractive. The residential collection was introduced in the mid 1970s as the “Baker Modern Collection.”
