Inside Our Warehouse: Worldwide Delivery

Distance is Never a Barrier.

When you purchase an $8,000 Eames Lounge Chair or a massive 9-foot Danish credenza from a digital photo, you need absolute certainty that the piece will arrive exactly as described.

From our highly secure, 30,000-square-foot facility in Pasadena, Texas, Metro Retro Furniture manages the logistics, crating, and worldwide delivery of museum-grade mid-century modern design. Because we operate strictly as a national and international dealer rather than a local retail storefront, our entire operation is optimized to protect your investment in transit.

How We Protect Your Investment

1. Custom-Built Wooden Crating We do not rely on standard cardboard packaging for our investment-grade inventory. For case goods, fragile lighting, and heavy seating, our in-house facility team builds specialized, custom wooden crates tailored down to the exact inch of the piece. The furniture is internally structuralized and suspended so it never bears edge-impact during loading.

2. Specialized White-Glove Freight Your mid-century pieces do not bounce around in the back of a standard parcel truck. We partner exclusively with specialized domestic and international freight handlers whose entire business model revolves around the transportation of fine art, high-end antiques, and vintage furniture.

3. Turn-Key International Logistics We regularly ship to New York, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. We handle all complex export logistics, customs documentation, and residential deliveries so you don't have to navigate international freight on your own.

The 25-Year Difference

The vintage furniture market is currently flooded with opportunistic sellers and dropshippers. Metro Retro Furniture has been sourcing, authenticating, and archiving significant 20th-century design for over 25 years. Every single piece listed on our website physically sits in our Pasadena warehouse under our supervision.

When you purchase from Metro Retro, you are buying from a legacy dealer with decades of shipping infrastructure.
