French Hand Turned Late Baroque/Early Rococo Barley Twist 8 Leg Oak Bench
This is a fine example of Late Baroque/Early Rococo period craftsmanship. These French Barley Twist Benches were made in France circa 1730-1750.. They're constructed of solid oak and was crafted on a hand turned lathe. They have 8 legs and stretchers that are held together by the use of wood pegs showing accurate time and period craftsmanship. The holes on the underside are an indication as to how many times they have been reupholstered over the centuries.
Reupholstery is strongly recommended. Benches are in original condition. No refinishing is visibily evident.
Benches are priced per item.
